It's All In The Planning...

 

 

 

 

As part of my approach to brand shoots, we follow a detailed planning process before I even pick up the camera. I'm a firm believer that it's all in the planning. If I just turn up camera in hand hoping for the best and you just turn up with an expectant gaze we're not going to nail it are we.  

Planning. We plan where. What. When. Why. We talk about what inspires you. We talk about how you want to be perceived by your ideal client. We discuss what you and your business are all about. We focus on your brand values and your goals. Because if I don't know how you what to be perceived, I can't deliver what you need can I? We plan for marketing campaigns and social media needs. We plan outfits and props and seasonal stuff and specific shots you want and absolutely nothing is left to chance. 

Planning. It's my  number one golden rule. And that's why for five years I've relied heavily on my most favourite of planning tools... My Pro Planner. 

It's more than just a planner. It's a pal. It's a business mentor tapping me on the shoulder reminding me to focus on my vision and goals. Its a finance tracker and a social media planner. It reminds me of my 'to-do's and has space for doodling my thoughts and reviewing my month. It's basically my unpaid silent business partner. And it's ever-so fancy. It makes people think I've got my act together too which is always a bonus isn't it.
